[ALMANAC]. Les Spectacles de Paris, or Historical & Chronological Calendar of the Theatres. Paris, Veuve Duchesne, 1771. In-16 (12 x 6.5 cm), full red morocco, title on spine. Gilt edges. Contemporary binding. 165 pp. Slight scuffing, corners pierced. First edition of this small almanac of Parisian theatre performances for the year 1771, which includes, in particular, details of the members of the Concert Spirituel, the Opéra, the Comédie Française and the Comédie Italienne, comprising actors, actresses, dancers and musicians… A theatre almanac published in Paris, initially by Duchesne, without interruption from 1751 to 1797. It followed on from the *Almanach des théâtres*, published by Ballard in 1744 and 1745. It changed its title several times during its 46-year run. A very fine copy preserved in a lovely period binding in full red morocco, with dominoté paper on the endpapers and covering the half-leather fore-edges.
