Narrow 16mo (12.5 x 6 cm), full contemporary red morocco, smooth spine decorated with panels, gilt fillets framing the covers, garlands of flowers at the corners, gilt edges. 248 pp. (pages 45 to 48 are missing, but the text is complete) Provenance: Joseph Aubey (bookplate) First edition. A rare Picardy almanac published in Amiens, containing historical and administrative information for the year 1754 on the main towns of the province (Abbeville, Saint-Quentin, Péronne, Albert, Montdidier, Roye, Boulogne, Ardres and Calais), as well as lists of figures from the region’s ecclesiastical, military, civil and literary spheres, with a particular focus on the city of Amiens. A fine copy in a lovely period binding in red morocco leather.
