[ELZEVIR]. MOLIÈRE. Works: The Schemes of Scapin; Psyche; The Learned Ladies... Based on the copy printed in Paris [Amsterdam, Daniel Elzevier], 1675–1678–1679. Small 12mo (13 x 7.5 cm), granite-brown calfskin, ribbed spine decorated with panels. 84-84-84-119-36 pp. Binding scuffed. A collection comprising the works of Molière, whose plays had initially been printed separately by Daniel Elzevier before being brought together to form a ‘fictitious’ collected edition, the first of which appeared in 1675. Contains the following plays: *Les Fourberies de Scapin* (1675); *Psiché* (1675); *Les Femmes Sçavantes* (1678); *Le Malade imaginaire* (1679); *L’Ombre de Molière* (1678). Each play (with its own title page and pagination) is preceded by an anonymous copperplate engraving.
