FALLET, René. ‎La Soupe aux choux. ‎Paris, Denoël, 1980. In-8 (20.5 x 14 cm), paperback, illustrated dust jacket. 236 pp. Slight scuffing and a tiny tear at the edge of the dust jacket. First edition of this novel, which was adapted for the screen with great success, accompanied by an autographed dedication from the author: “To Lucienne and Gibraltar, warmest regards from their old cook, René Fallet”. The recipients are Lucienne Vernay (a singer-songwriter who set several of Fallet’s texts to music) and Pierre Onténiente (Georges Brassens’s right-hand man, nicknamed ‘Gibraltar’). A fine copy, signed by Fallet.
