A delightful illustrated edition of this novel by Anatole France (1844–1924), inspired by his mistress, Mme Arman de Caillavet. It is adorned with ten beautiful colour stencil illustrations by André Hofer (1890–1973). Limited edition of 750 copies printed on Rives B.F.K. paper; this is one of the 150 reserved for ‘Osiris’ (no. 63). A fine copy in a lovely signed binding.
