An illustrated edition featuring 24 intaglio plates by Brion de La Tour and Gravelot (here in their original form).
These eight volumes contain all his novels, various texts published in periodicals (Mercure de France) and two volumes of translations of English plays.
Riccoboni, who enjoyed considerable renown across Europe, inspired, amongst others, Laclos and Beaumarchais. His influence was felt throughout the first half of the 19th century; Germaine de Staël placed his novels alongside *La Princesse de Clèves* and *Paul et Virginie*, whilst Marceline Desbordes-Valmore included them in her library.
