Etienne-Maurice FALCONET (1716–1791) – SÈVRES MANUFACTORY, after. ‘The Fairy Urgèle’ and ‘The Castle Festival’. A pair of galant scenes in biscuit porcelain bearing an apocryphal Sèvres mark on the reverse. (H.: 20 and 21.5 cm) (damage and restoration) These groups were executed by Falconet after two works by Favart: “The Castle Festival”, presented at Bagatelle before the Queen in 1766, and “The Fairy Urgèle”, presented before the King at Fontainebleau in October 1765.
