Attributed to Dominique ALONZO (active c. 1910–1930) Bust of a young girl wearing a shawl A bronze cast with a nuanced dark brown patina depicting a young girl, her hair gathered in a bun and her shoulders draped in a loose, flowing fabric. The bust is adorned with a diagonal band of gilded metal. Bears a partially legible incised signature on the side, ‘Alonz…’, which is consistent with Dominique Alonzo’s signature. Rests on a scalloped and moulded base made of stained wood. First quarter of the 20th century. Dim.: H. 35 cm Normal wear and scuffing to the patina; small scratches and cracks on the plinth.
