JAPAN, Edo period Wakizashi, slightly curved blade, no visible hamon. Simple black lacquer frame. The iron tsuba is engraved with clouds. The iron fuchi-kashira finely engraved with an animated landscape in the Taoist style. The shakudō and copper alloy menuki depict dancers in shishimai costume. Presented with a kogatana with a copper alloy handle decorated with a dragon in relief.
