CHRISTOFLE. Important table centrepiece in silver plated metal "La mer".
Designed by Philippe-Joseph Joindy (1832-1906). Decorated with a crab, shells and seaweed. Marked on the reverse (Dim.: 48 x 70 cm) (desargenture)
Initially comprising three elements with a mirror base and a jardinière.
This model was registered in 1898 and presented at the 1900 exhibition on one of the Christofle stands, on the theme of air and water:
