Cylinder desk or secrétaire à cylindre inlaid on all sides in lattice-worked veneered wood, opening to three drawers in the belt above a cylinder revealing a sliding top covered in red leather and gilded with petit fer, six small drawers in two rows, those at the bottom simulated and three small drawers in doucine. The marble top is surrounded by an openwork brass gallery. The legs are supported by four carved and gilded bronze caryatids linked by an openwork scroll brace and finished with turned tapered feet. Visible wear and tear. With a key for the cylinder. Height 111 - Width 92 - Depth 67 cm In the style of Adam Weisweiler, similar to the late 19th century work of Millet, Sormani or Dasson. A similar piece of furniture was sold by Mirabaud Mercier on 25/11/2022 stamped Sormani Paris on the lock of the left drawer. Appraisal: François LACHAUD, Paris.
