Spine and joints of the binding formerly covered with an opaque grey adhesive; lower cap missing; wear to the corners; a small loss of paper, without damage to the text or engraving, in the lower left-hand corner of the first two folios; a gap restored in the side margin of the third leaf and of f. 23, minor worm damage without affecting the text in the upper margin of pp. 236 to 269, the fastening laces are probably of later date.
