SECOND EDITION edited by VOLTAIRE. This is a reprint of the 1764 edition, published in 12 volumes with the same engravings. It was VOLTAIRE who had it printed by subscription by the Cramer brothers in Geneva, accompanying it with commentaries, in order to provide for a descendant of the great Corneille, whom he had taken in.
