Four parts bound in two 8vo volumes in marbled fawn sheepskin, covers adorned with a gilt-roll border, coat of arms stamped in gold in the centre, smooth spine divided into compartments and decorated, title and volume number labels in garnet morocco, marbled edges (contemporary binding). FIRST EDITION illustrated with 63 separately printed plates delicately coloured in watercolour, numbered 1 to 56, including seven duplicate plates, depicting flowers, plants and their botanical details.
