In-16, fawn calfskin, gilt scrolls framing the edges, gilt floral motifs, coat of arms in the centre of the covers, plain, unmarked spine decorated with the same motifs, gilt guilloché edges (full binding). A fine binding bearing the unidentified coat of arms of a cardinal (quarterly: 1 and 4 a rampant greyhound, 2 and 3 four staffs, with the coat of arms of Savoy over all). 19th-century handwritten bookplates.
