Description
Generator set for Tiger I '3' tank, Schwere Panzer-Abteilung 503 - Normandy Rare Auto-Union GG 400 "Tigerwurfel" generator for Tiger I "Befehelstiger" command tank. Auto-Union production November 1943 stamped on its engine. Functional inside or outside the tank, allowing batteries to be recharged or radios to be operated without starting the Tiger's Maybach engine. Auto-Union production markings and WaffenAmt stamps. The number III and the parallelogram indicate that it comes from the coded Befehelstiger No. III of the Staab (headquarters) of the famous s.pz.Abt.503 engaged in Normandy during the summer of 1944. Original Panzer Grau paintwork and condition, with sand-coloured air filter. Functional with its hand launcher or Dyna Start electric contact.
