A very elegant contemporary combat pistol from the First Empire. Octagonal rifled barrel, calibre 30 balls per pound. Slightly flared muzzle. The upper side bears a gold tauzia. Beautiful inlay in cursive script. Twisted barrel. The three panels at the breech bear recessed hallmarks with gilded backgrounds, of the finest alloy. Fixed rear sight and slender front sight. Flat trigger plates inscribed with epigraphs. Flat swan-neck hammer. Waterproof iron trigger guard. Hammer spring screwed in from the inside. All iron fittings. Oval-shaped, domed cap with a flat base, decorated with heliotrope flowers. Round trigger guard. Iron hood forming the ramrod entry. Rear counter-plates in a bat-wing shape.
