Description
Infantry officer’s sabre, Model 1855, manufactured by the Imperial Manufactory of Châtellerault in August 1855. Curved blade with a flat back, the point aligned with the axis, a wide fuller and a narrow groove running along the back of the blade. Chiselled gilded bronze mountings. Black horn pommel, filigree-worked, fitted within its steel sheet scabbard with a single band. Condition 1 minus.
