Obverse: Portraits of the Spanish royal family arranged in five medallions: King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofia in the centre, flanked by Prince Felipe and the Infantas Elena and Cristina. Peripheral legend: ‘JVAN · CARLOS · I · REY · DE · ESPAÑA’. Year ‘19 / 92’. Engraved by Manuel Martínez Tornero. Reverse: Portraits of ten Ibero-American winners of the Nobel Prize in Literature: Gabriela Mistral, Jacinto Benavente, Juan Ramón Jiménez, José de Echegaray, Miguel Ángel Asturias, Gabriel García Márquez, Vicente Aleixandre, Camilo José Cela, Pablo Neruda and Octavio Paz. At the bottom centre, a hand writing with a quill in a book, surrounded by the inscription ‘QVINTO CENTENARIO’ and the denomination ‘10 ,000 PTAS’. Engraved by Luis José Díaz Salas. Edge: Fluted.
