Obverse: Two shields joined side by side: on the left, the former coat of arms of Gachnang featuring a rearing unicorn; on the right,
the coat of arms of the canton of Thurgau. Peripheral inscription: ‘1100 JAHRE GACHNANG’.
Reverse: Architectural view of Gachnang with its church and traditional buildings. In the exergue,
commemorative dates ‘889–1989’, accompanied by a maker’s mark and the fineness ‘900’.
