Rifle with side-by-side barrel and pinfire cartridge, Lefaucheux-type locking system with the arms of the Emperor Napoleon III.
Rifled barrel, mirror polished finish. Assembled by hook, tobacco-coloured bronze finish.
Walnut grip with diamond checkering.
Removable skeleton stock, sheathed in black leather.
Perfectly functioning mechanism.
Marked on the upper band of the barrels "Devisme, 36 Boulevart des Italiens à Paris".
On the trigger guard is a gold wire inlay, monogram of the Emperor "N" under a crown, surrounded by foliage and acanthus leaves.
All the iron parts are chased with ornamental engravings.
