Accompanied by an autograph letter from Genoa, dated 24 October 1906, addressed to a Corsican scholar on the subject of the "MS. di Canari" ("Canari manuscript"). In it, the author explicitly refers to the restitution of a copy of the manuscript preserved at Canari Castle and discusses a number of Corsican historical sources and manuscript traditions.
This historical-political manuscript on Corsica is probably a later scholarly copy of an eighteenth-century text from the Château de Canari, the former home of the Cenci family, barons of Canari, Nonza and Ogliastro.
