Publisher’s binding in full ivory vellum, front cover adorned with the ‘Gala Dalí’ coat of arms, crowned and cold-stamped, smooth spine with title in gold lettering, in a cloth-covered slipcase. Text from *The Romance of Tristan and Iseult*, revised by Joseph Bédier. Illustrated with 21 original colour drypoint engravings by Salvador DALI (Michler & Löpsinger 406–426), including 20 plates monogrammed in pencil by the artist and a frontispiece signed in the margin. Limited edition of 115 copies on Arches handmade vellum (plus 10 honourary copies and 125 copies for foreign editions). This copy is no. 98, one of 90 copies numbered from 26 to 115. Good condition. Covers yellowed and stained, case tarnished; interior fresh.
