Paris, Delangle frères, 1827–1828. 32 vols. in-8 (approx. 22.5 × 15 cm): Theory of the Earth, History of Minerals, Epochs of Nature, Experiments on Plants, History of Animals, Domestic, Carnivorous and Wild Animals, Birds, Supplements. Fawn-coloured half-leather binding, smooth spines decorated with gilt fillets and borders, title, volume number and subtitles in gilt. Frontispiece portrait. Numerous copper-engraved and hand-coloured plates (Mammals, Birds) after Vauthier, under the supervision of Couché fils. Good condition. Some scuffing to the bindings; scattered foxing, occasionally heavy on a few plates.
