Two large carved wooden angels forming a pair, kneeling, dressed in a toga held in place by a strap; one, with hands clasped, was probably holding a candle, the other with hands in prayer; most likely formerly lacquered and/or gilded (damage, missing parts – notably the wings – pinholes, and areas of fragility). Late 17th century.
