Description

Model 1821 infantry officer’s sabre. Handle with a two-pronged brass guard decorated with laurel leaves. Wooden tang covered in leather and fitted with a brass filigree band (some wear). Fitted with a German-made blade, curved in shape and engraved with a coat of arms depicting a rearing lion beneath a crown and the letter ‘N’, along with the German motto ‘fur der Fürsten und das Vaterland’ and, on the other side, ‘Wilhelm Grund 1812’ and a trophy.
