TRIUMPH SPITFIRE Mk3 - 1967 - Serial number: 1FD3253L - odometer reading: 10031 (5 digit odometer, therefore may correspond to more kilometres), Vehicle sold as is, refer to photos and technical inspection. The vehicle is equipped with a 4-cylinder, 100 horsepower engine fed by 2 SU carburettors. Engine and gearbox oil seepage (not noted at MOT). Traces of repairs are visible on the spare wheel well and on the left rear floor. The paintwork shows a patina throughout, with some damage. The vehicle is fitted with black imitation leather upholstery with white piping. The seats have a good patina. The interior trim, dashboard and floor mats are in good condition. The black vinyl soft top and side srceen are in good condition. The vehicle is fitted with 15-inch painted wire wheels. The rims are in good condition. Invoices for recent work attached. The Triumph Spitfire is a two-seater roadster with an in-line 4-cylinder engine, built between 1962 and 1980 by British carmaker Triumph, designed by Harry Webster, with bodywork by Giovanni Michelotti. Modified examples were entered by the factory for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, winning the class in 1965. It is sometimes referred to retrospectively as the Spitfire MK1. Triumph Spitfire MK3, 65,320 examples produced between 1967 and 1970, with the engine increased to 1,300 cm3 and a number of cosmetic changes.
