Each part concludes with its own register of page numbers and its own colophon. – The entire volume was printed by the Parisian Liturgica printer Desiderius (Didier) Maheu, based in Rue Saint-Jacques ‘sub signo sancti Nicolai’, who printed numerous missals and breviaries for various dioceses between the early 16th century and the 1540s, including, in collaboration with Jean Kerbriant, for Nevers, Autun and Senlis. The edition was published on behalf of and at the expense (“impensis”) of the Cologne booksellers’ partnership of Ludwig Hornken and Gottfried Hittorp, who had been running a joint publishing business in Paris for the Cologne market since 1511 and had liturgical works printed by reputable Parisian printing houses. Both parts – the winter and summer sections – were completed in the same year, 1520, the winter section bearing the exact date of 16 September 1520. One page is damaged, and some pages are slightly trim-clipped.
