Letter bearing the handwritten signature of the Archbishop and Elector of Trier, addressed to a prince. Ehrenbreitstein, 29 December 1759. 1 page on 1 sheet of handmade paper (approx. 30 x 20.3 cm).
Johann Philipp, Baron von Walderdorff (1701–1768) is regarded as the most prominent member of his noble family and, as Johann IX, served as Archbishop and Elector of Trier from 1756 to 1768, as well as Prince-Bishop of Worms from 1763. - Traces of having been folded twice, partly with some brown spots, otherwise well preserved.
