La Roche, Carl von 2 autograph letters bearing the signature of the German-Austrian actor and director (1794–1884) to the theatre director Josef Pellet in Graz, as well as 2 further letters, presumably autograph, bearing his signature, addressed to him. 1834–1848. Various sizes. Some bearing a seal. Includes: 2 letters to Pellet (1797–1866). Vienna, 20 April and 14 May 1834. 3 pp. – Requests confirmation regarding a guest performance, stating, “I shall only come if you are very, very keen to see me there”, and enquires about guest roles for his friend Georg Winterberger. – 1 letter from the actor Heinrich Anschütz (1785–1865). No place, 28 November 1849. 1 p. – Regarding the role of the page in *Aussteuer*. – 1 letter from his brother Ludwig La Roche. No place, 20 March 1848. 1 p. – “So if ‘Minna von Barnhelm’ is set for tomorrow, just make sure you sort out my daughter’s costumes straight away.” – Traces of multiple folding, partly creased and with some foxing, generally well preserved. 2 autograph letters signed by the German-Austrian actor and director (1794–1884) to the theatre director Josef Pellet in Graz, as well as 2 further autograph letters signed to him. - Contains: 2 letters to Pellet. - Seeks confirmation of a guest performance and asks for guest roles for his friend Georg Winterberger. - 1 letter from the actor Heinrich Anschütz. - Concerning the role of the pageboy in *Aussteuer*. - 1 letter from his brother Ludwig La Roche. - Traces of several folds, partly creased and somewhat foxed, but in good condition overall.
