Prayer Book Morning and evening Mass, prayers for confession and Holy Communion, together with the Stations of the Cross and the Litany of Our Lady … and other prayers. Prayer book in German manuscript in black ink with a drawn title page, highlights and floral decorations in coloured ink, as well as 6 illustrative images. Prayer book, 1817. 89 handwritten pages, 16 leaves. Small 8°. Contemporary leather binding with triple gilt edging, gold-embossed cover fillets and borders, in a two-part leather slipcase (slightly rubbed and bumped; slipcase with minor wormholes). The engraved illustrations, some by Caspar Harrer in Munich, feature artfully mounted cut-outs with fine, and in some cases coloured, gold-coloured metallic foil. – Depictions include, amongst others, the crucified Jesus, St Barbara and the Mother of God. - Title page verso bears the ownership inscription ‘John and Henry Fählmayr of Gruebhof. Ao 1817’. - The final page bears a partly illegible ownership inscription referring to ‘Pfarr Triftring’. - In good overall condition. Prayer book in German handwriting in black ink with a drawn title, highlights and floral decorations in coloured ink, as well as 6 engraved plates. Contemporary leather with gilt edges, gilt-stamped cover fillets and borders in a two-part leather slipcase (somewhat rubbed and bumped; slipcase with minor wormholes). – The engraved plates, some by Caspar Harrer in Munich, feature fine cut-outs, some with gold-coloured metal foil, artfully backed. – Depicted are, amongst other things, the crucified Jesus, St Barbara, and the Virgin Mary. - Verso of the title page bears an ownership inscription: ‘John and Henry Fählmayr von Gruebhof. Ao 1817’. - The final page bears a partially illegible ownership inscription referring to ‘Parish of Triftring’. - Overall, well preserved. This lot is subject to standard tax.
