Liber amicorum – Saxony – Poland A collection of 57 autograph book pages containing 57 entries from the circle of the Moravian Church, 4 (2 in colour) small drawings and 1 silhouette drawing. Mainly Niesky, also Pabianice, Kleinwelka, Herrnhut, Neusulzfeld, the Halberstadt Colony, Galkowek-Kolonia, 1833–1852. Loose leaves (approx. 9.5 x 15.7 cm) with gilt edges in a paper folder within a two-part, gold-embossed paper slipcase (slightly bumped). Containing inscriptions, mostly by pupils of Upper Lusatian educational institutions as farewell gifts, including those by: Friedrich Bergsträßer, Berthoud, Carl (*1832) and A. Dahms (*1833), H.O. Gruhl (*1834), Johann Heinrich Hartmann (1827 Paramaribo – 1900 Herrnhut, son of the missionary Maria H.), H. Kersten (*1834), Johann Gottlob Kiesling, Carl and Hermann Knothe, Anna Maria (*1798) and Philipp Kräter (*1821), Benjamin (*1832), Theodor (*1834) and Eduard Krusche (*1836), Joh. Aug. Miertsching (1817–1875, Sorbian missionary and interpreter), F(riedrich) Paulig (1836–1896, cloth manufacturer in Sommerfeld?), Ferdinand Sauder (b. 1815), Lisette and Jeremias Scholz (b. 1808), C.S.D. Schondorf (b. 1814), Jacob Vester (b. 1816), T.N. Windekilde (b. 1833) etc. – In good condition overall. Containing entries, mostly by pupils of Upper Lusatian schools, written as farewell messages, including, amongst others: Johann Heinrich Hartmann (1827 Paramaribo – 1900 Herrnhut, son of the missionary Maria H.), Joh. Aug. Miertsching (1817–1875, Sorbian missionary and interpreter), F(riedrich) Paulig (1836–1896, cloth manufacturer in Sommerfeld?), and as listed above. – Overall in good condition.
