First and only edition of an important bibliographical document on legal literature. - Not listed in Krieg, *Bibliotheca Bibliographica*. - Catalogue of part of the significant collection on legal history belonging to one of the leading German jurists of the 19th century, Carl Friedrich von Savigny (1779–1861). Savigny was a professor of jurisprudence, a member of the Prussian State Council and Minister of State for Legislative Revision (1842–48). He is regarded as the founder of the German Historical School of Law. - The section of his significant library listed in this catalogue—organised first by printed works or manuscripts and then thematically—was donated to the Royal Library in Berlin. It comprises 466 printed works, mostly incunabula, and 46 manuscripts dating from the 10th to the 16th century. – Occasional small fox-stains and dog-ears; otherwise a very clean copy of this extremely rare item.
