Jena Martyrology. Facsimile of the manuscript Ms. Bos. q. 3 – Fragm. oS 17.2. Fragment 21 a/b in the Thuringian University and State Library. 2 vols. (facsimile and commentary). Stuttgart, Belser Verlag, 2021. Brown leather binding with blind embossing and two gold clasps.
One of 999 copies. – Facsimile of the oldest martyrology written in the German language, which is based on other martyrologies such as those by Ado of Vienne, Notker and Usuard. Dated to around 1275, the manuscript contains over 370 illuminated pen-and-ink drawings and is the only complete surviving copy. It is a chronological list of saints, each assigned to a specific day in the calendar. - In very good condition overall.
