Each comprising between 2 and 6 pages, as well as 12 (including one double-page) typographic, partly multi-folded tabular notices listing postal connections between Saxon towns. Predominantly folio (approx. 35 x 21.5 cm). Thread-bound fascicle. Enclosed in a late cardboard cover dating from around 1930 with a handwritten note reading ‘Postal routes around 1700’. Contains reflections and efforts by Duke Christian of Saxony-Eisenberg (1653–1707) to establish a postal route for the capital city of Eisenberg in the Duchy of Saxony-Eisenberg, which existed for only a relatively short time, including, amongst other things: A two-page handwritten discussion entitled ‘Memorial’ by Theodor Wilhelm Uswald, Postmaster of Zeitz, dated 1704. – 1 manuscript.
