Reprint. - The theatre programme for the premiere of Schiller’s play “Die Räuber” at the Mannheim National Theatre on Sunday, 13 January 1782. The performance caused quite a stir in Mannheim and thrust Schiller, who was just 22 years old at the time, into the limelight. The play was first published anonymously in 1781 as a reading play and is divided into five acts. – Includes a letter from Schiller to the audience, as well as a list of the actors and ticket prices. – Slight discolouration along the edges and browned margins; slightly stained.
