Turkey – The Ottoman Empire by Sanders, Otto Liman Five Years in Turkey. With 3 folded maps, illustrations within the text and a photographic frontispiece. Berlin, August Scherl, undated (1920). 408 pp. Large 8°. Half leather with ornamentally embossed spine (rubbed and bumped). With a handwritten dedication by the author, Otto Liman von Sanders, to General von Gersdorff. - Liman von Sanders, Prussian general and Ottoman marshal, recounts his time in Turkey during the First World War. The book was written whilst he was being held in Malta by the British Army for his war crimes. - Edges heavily browned, some pages with minimal staining. Overall in good condition.
