Great Britain Prout, John Skinner The Castles and Abbeys of Monmouthshire. With 29 lithographic plates and a lithographic title page. Bristol, G. Davey and W. Strong, 1838. Imp. Folio. Hardback with gold-stamped title (heavily scuffed and bumped, front joint cracked). The tinted lithographs by the British artist and lithographer John Skinner Prout are each titled and signed on the stone. Some contain explanatory notes on the castles, fortresses and abbeys depicted, bound in between the plates. - Some are slightly stained. Overall, very well preserved. With 29 lithographic plates and a lithographic title page. Half leather with gold-stamped title (more worn and bumped, front joint broken). - The tinted lithographs by British artist and lithographer John Skinner Prout are each titled and signed on the stone. Some include descriptions of the castles, fortresses and abbeys depicted, bound between the plates. - Some show minimal staining. Overall in very good condition.
