Half leather with rich gilt decoration and coloured edges (heavily rubbed and bumped, some joints cracked). First edition of this rare travel account of Montenegro. – With a noble owner’s stamp on the reverse of the title page, possibly King Frederick Augustus II of Saxony. - Travelogue by the German philologist and poet Heinrich Stieglitz. Following the death of his wife, he left Berlin, his long-time home, and travelled through South-Eastern Europe for several years. - Edges browned. Generally well preserved. Half-leather binding with an elaborate gilt spine and coloured edges (heavily rubbed and bumped, joints partially cracked). - First edition of this rare travelogue about Montenegro. - With an aristocratic ownership stamp on the verso of the title page, possibly belonging to King Frederick Augustus II of Saxony. - Travel account by the German philologist and poet Heinrich Stieglitz. Following the death of his wife, he left Berlin – his home of many years – and travelled through South-Eastern Europe for several years. - Margins browned. Overall in good condition.
