Contemporary half-leather binding with gold-stamped spines and gilt edges. (Worn and bumped; one joint split). First edition. – Tobler, 159. – Röhricht, 387. – Kainbacher I, 126. – Ataby, 1110. – The map includes a detailed plan of Jerusalem. - Endpapers with glue stains; title page stamped on both sides (‘Residentia S.J. Kapornacensis’, ‘A Népkönyvtári Központtól / Nem adható el!’), partly with foxing (endpapers, first and last leaves, and reverse of map partly severe), cover with a tear at the edge, otherwise generally well preserved. - Includes: The same author’s *Pictures from the Holy Land*. With lithographed title vignette and 37 lithographed views on plates after J.M. Bernatz. Stuttgart, Steinkopf, (1841). Quarto. Contemporary paper binding with gold-stamped spine label (somewhat rubbed). – Partly stained with brown spots. Arabia. - Palestine. - First edition. - 3 vols. With 1 engraved fold-out map. Marbled contemporary half-leather with gilt-stamped labels on the spine and gilt spine (worn and bumped, one joint split). - The map contains a detailed plan of Jerusalem. - Endpapers show traces of bookbinder’s glue; front and back of the title page are stamped (‘Residentia S.J. Kapornacensis’, ‘A Népkönyvtári Központtól / Nem adható el!’), some foxing (endpapers, first and last leaves, and reverse of map, heavily affected in some areas), map with a marginal tear, otherwise generally well preserved. - In addition: as listed above.
