With a plan of the town and fortress of Spandow, a map of the area around Spandau and 1 copperplate engraving depicting the town seal, amongst other things. Berlin, (no publisher), 1785. VIII, 172 pp. Contemporary half-leather binding (some bumps and scuffs; headbands with missing sections). First separate edition. – VD18 11468203 - Berlin Bibliography p. 788, erroneously attributed there to F.L.J. Fischbach, as the work was simultaneously reprinted in the 3rd volume of the ‘Historische … Beyträge’ edited by him. - Very rare first separate edition of the first chronicle of Spandau, with an appendix of 51 documents. Chapter 5 also covers the towns of Gatow, Kladow, Tegel, Lübars, Pichelsdorf, Falkenhagen and others. - The map as a frontispiece and the two copperplate engravings are bound into the text volume rather than at the end (cf. VD18). - Endpapers show traces of glue; the copperplate engravings are slightly foxed. This lot is subject to standard tax.
