Dimensions approx. 109 x 134 cm. Folded. In a linen envelope within a contemporary linen slipcase with a gold-embossed title (spine with a tear, slightly discoloured at the edges, standing edge split). Flanked by the merchant flags of the most important states participating in the European trade market. – With inset maps of British (Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool, etc.) and Nordic transhipment centres (Stockholm, Moscow, Riga, etc.), trade routes and transhipment centres in south-western Europe (Lisbon, Morocco, Madrid, Oporto, etc.) and in the Orient (Smyrna, Constantinople, etc.). - Scattered light foxing in the margins; slightly creased at the lower margin and at one corner; cloth with stock spots; otherwise in good overall condition. Transport map of Europe, North Africa and the Orient. Chromolithographic map mounted on cloth in 16 segments.
