Copperplate map printed from 14 plates, folded into 12 sections and mounted on cloth. 164 x 141 cm. In paper cover with gold-stamped title. A rare and highly detailed map of western Russia, from the Baltic Sea to the Urals and the Caspian Sea. – Dörflinger II, 463. - Durstmüller I, 190. - This hatched map was drawn by the Russian cartographer Ivan Danielov. It was ‘compiled according to the latest astronomical position determinations, the Great Atlas and other maps from the Russian Imperial Map Depots.” – Slightly stained. Minimal edge wear. Overall in very good condition.
