Augsburg, undated (mid-18th century). 49 x 57 cm. Coloured copperplate map. IKAR 00128925X – This early map by the Augsburg copperplate engraver Mathhaeus Seutter depicts Paris with the surrounding ‘banlieue’ as far as St Denis, Vincennes, St Maur, Choisy and Saint-Cloud. All the castles, villages and gardens are marked on the map. – Smoothed centre fold. Margins browned and slightly stained. Overall, the map is in good condition. France. - Hand-coloured copperplate map. - This early map by the Augsburg engraver Matthaeus Seutter depicts Paris and its surrounding ‘Banlieue’, extending to Saint-Denis, Vincennes, Saint-Maur, Choisy and Saint-Cloud.
