Provenance: – German private collection. – From a German company collection, where it was received as a gift to mark the company’s anniversary. - Swedish painter who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. His body of work is characterised by numerous landscape views of the Swedish countryside, which he captured in magnificent, often wintry scenes. Stylistically, Schultzenberg’s works belong to the genre of realistic landscape painting; an influence of the Düsseldorf School of Painting, with which the artist was familiar, is evident here. Works by Schultzenberg are held, amongst others, at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Stockholm, and the National Gallery of Denmark – Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen. - This work depicts the village of ‘Tunaslätten’ in the Dalarna region of Sweden.
