Jupiter amongst the Olympians. Copperplate engraving after Primaticcio. c. 1545–1560. Sheet dimensions approx. 48.3 x 39.1 cm.
Robert-Dumesnil 33. – Zerner P.M. 5 II. – Mark: an eagle within a circle beneath a small crown. - With four bevelled corners; a somewhat pale, grainy print, cut slightly along the left edge of the image and otherwise closely trimmed along the plate edge; one vertical and three horizontal fold marks, the middle one with a small wormhole; on the reverse, mounting strips, the upper one somewhat creased and crumpled, the left margin with small tears, some moisture stains in the margins, the paper edges on the reverse reinforced by a narrow strip of paper, otherwise well preserved.
Copperplate engraving after Primaticcio. – Watermark showing an eagle within a circle beneath a small crown. – With four bevelled corners, cut along the left edge of the image, otherwise cut close to the plate edge, one vertical and three horizontal fold marks, the middle one with a small wormhole and a mounting strip on the reverse, the upper fold somewhat creased and crumpled, the left margin with small defects, the margins partially water-stained, the sheet edges reinforced on the reverse with a narrow strip of paper, otherwise well preserved.
