4 works. Circa 1740. Each a copperplate engraving on handmade paper. From: *Paradise, or the Creation and the Fall of the First Couple*, circa 1740, Augsburg. Drawn, executed and published by Johann Elias Ridinger. Viewing dimensions: 39.55 x 55 cm each. Each framed behind glass, unopened. The lower margin features German and French biblical quotations and a Latin quotation from the early Christian text ‘De paradiso’ by Ambrose of Milan, dating from the late 4th century.
Thienemann 807–814. – A collection of four works from the 12-part series ‘Paradise, or the Creation and the Fall of the First Human Couple’. – Subtle brown stains, scuff marks and, in places, glued tears. Overall in good condition. Excellent prints with margins and clearly defined plate edges.
