Frères, Bulla Album *Paris-Théâtre*. With a chromolithographic title page and 23 further chromolithographic plates. Paris, Bulla Frères, undated (c. 1860). Quarto folio. Blue half-leather binding with gold-stamped title (heavily rubbed and bumped, stained). Extremely rare; we have only ever come across it once on the market. Has not been offered at auction for over 10 years. - A work on the theatres of Paris in the late 19th century. The front endpapers contain a list of the theatres and the various admission prices. The richly detailed and vividly coloured plates each depict a view of the theatre’s interior. The seats and tiers in each theatre are numbered. The theatres depicted include, amongst others, the Paris Opera, the Odéon, the Théâtre du Vaudeville, the Théâtre Impérial du Châtelet and the Théâtre du Palais-Royal. In addition to the theatres, the final plate depicts the Lalanne circus. - Margins slightly browned. Some foxing. Overall, a very well-preserved work on Parisian theatres in rich, vibrant colours. With a chromolithographic title page and 23 additional chromolithographic plates. Original blue cloth with gilt-stamped title (heavily rubbed and bumped, stained). - Extremely rare.
