Baroque Office de la Semaine Sainte. Latin and French, for use in Rome and Paris. With woodcut printer’s mark and 2 copper plates. Paris, d’Houry, 1725. XXXII, 659 pp., 2 leaves. Red, smoothed contemporary morocco with rich gold embossing (fleurs-de-lys), triple cover fillets and corner fleurons, gilt edging on the spine and inner edges, triple gilt edges and the Duc d’Orléans’ coat of arms as a supralibros. (Slightly rubbed and slightly stained, corners slightly scuffed). A decorative copy of the liturgical prayer book, printed by the court printer Charles-Maurice d’Houry (seul Imprimeur de Monseigneur le Duc d’Orléans). Avec Privilege de Sa Majesté). - Partly slightly browned; the text block has a small crease at the end; a small note on the title page; the printer’s mark has slight marks
