Leather with floral gilt decoration on the spine, gilt-stamped title on the front cover, gilt edges and speckled edges (headbands restored, rubbed and bumped). An epic poem by Giambattista Marino, an Italian poet of the Baroque period. It recounts the love story between Venus and Adonis. – Water-stained, margins slightly browned. Some corners show crease marks and small tears. Vol. 2 partly uncut. Overall in good condition. Leather binding with gilt floral spine decoration, gilt-stamped spine title, gilt turn-ins, and speckled edges (headcaps restored, binding rubbed and bumped). - An epic poem by the Italian Baroque poet Giambattista Marino, recounting the love story of Venus and Adonis. - Foxing present, edges slightly browned.
